I thought this might be a good venue for me to keep track of, and share, some of my favorite quotes, movie scenes, poems, blurbs. I’d very much enjoy anyone else’s contributions!

Your body is the ground metaphor of your life, the expression of your existence. It is your Bible, your encyclopedia, your life story. Everything that happens to you is stored and reflected in your body. Your body knows, your body tells. The relationship of your self to your body is indivisable, inescapable, unavoidable. In the marriage of flesh and spirit divorce is impossible. ~ Gabrielle Roth

[I do not know the name of this poem. It was written in honor of the last Hawaiian Queen Liliuokalani, and I believe it was written by a friend who knew her.}
Two shall be born the whole world apart
And speak in different tongues and have no thought
Each of the other's being and no heed.
And these o'er unknown seas to unknown lands
Shall cross, escaping wreck, defying death;
And all unconsciously shape every act
And bend each wandering step to this one end,
That one day out of darkness they shall meet
And read life's meaning in each other's eyes.
~Susan Marr Spalding

Here’s my favorite poem of all time, courtesy of Mr. Robert Frost…
~ Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening ~
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
