He said,
You calm my heart.
But he does not know how many times
I have taken in his dragon’s flame
and quenched it in the night.
Then lying there beside him
in the dark,
his phoenix chained to love
and bound to this reality,
I burst into flame.
I do not suffer.
Love’s fire is quick and merciful.
But for one fleeting moment,
I wonder,
Is it worth it?
And then I am extinguished.
Yet somehow, reborn.
And in the morning he awakens
from his peaceful, calming slumber.
He does not even notice that I had died.

my beautiful woman…..I love you and have tasted your sweetness of your soul and energy….I did not know that you were being reborne or changed by my love while we slept…I wanted you to keep your identity and be the person you were…..the woman that I fell in love with..
OXOXOX

my lil’ stevie, one of the quotes i put on the “quotes, poems and blurbs” is by marion woodman and it says, “Energy enters you from the one sleeping beside you.” i think it was like that. i was sad when i wrote this poem; it was after we broke up (the first time *S*). but in truth, i was reborne into a woman who finally understood that she was worth being loved, and that you loved her back. it did change me, but for the better. ~ kina
